The Eco Coffee Company Gets a Sustainability Boost

The Eco Coffee Company has doubled down on their sustainability efforts and created a Climate Positive Workforce through Play It Green.

Eco Coffee will now plant enough trees every month with Play it Green to more than rebalance the carbon footprint of its staff’s personal lives and all their work-related travel. On top of that, they have already planted an extra 1,999 trees to get started.

Kieran Mitchell from The Eco Coffee Company said, “I knew straight away that Play it Green would be the right people to help drive our mutual passion for all things environmental, sustainable and ethical. It’s not just about planting trees, it’s about building a better world for the next generations to come and I’m glad Play it Green are here to help.”

Since a tenth of all Play It Green revenues also go to good causes, The Eco Coffee Company will be supporting marine wildlife through Sea Shepherd U.K.

The Eco Coffee Company will also review 9 key programme areas in our Net Zero Framework to plan and action improvements within their business and delivery.

The management team and workforce will  receive a weekly sustainability tip and relating discount to a product to help drive behaviour change, enhance the culture, and lower their carbon footprint. The weekly correspondence includes sustainability articles to ensure members not only become more climate aware but more aware of the solutions available to make progress in this area.

Richard Dickson, Co-Founder at Play it Green added, “As soon as I spoke to Kieran from The Eco Coffee Company, it was clear that his business took sustainability seriously and that they wanted to do more than just plant trees. It’s really exciting to see more and more businesses want to make a difference. I am sure their team will love the weekly tips and the business can use our Net Zero Framework to continue their journey to a sustainable future.”

All the trees planted will be tracked through the Eco Coffee Forest Garden page which you can visit here.
